Meet Rev. Nick Sollom
Nick Sollom is a pastor, spiritual guide, writer, and retired healthcare chaplain whose calling has
always been to accompany people through life’s most sacred thresholds. His journey has taken
him from customer service and law to chaplaincy, preaching, teaching, and grief counseling—each role rooted in presence, compassion, and love.

Today, Nick serves as pastor of a historic congregation in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, where
he brings together the depth of bedside chaplaincy and the joy of parish life. For more than a
decade, he was a nationally recognized healthcare chaplain at the VA, Bellevue, and Yale New
Haven Hospital, serving on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic and being featured in The
New York Times for his work with caregivers.
Nick holds a degree in Creative Writing from the University of Washington and a Master of
Divinity from The General Theological Seminary. A gifted communicator in English and
Spanish, he shares his voice through preaching, writing, podcasts, and public forums.
Outside of ministry, Nick is a devoted husband to Dom, dog dad to Joey and Coco, an avid hiker,
and a lover of literature and song. He believes in the radical, transformative power of love—and
welcomes connection around spirituality, resilience, writing, and the healing power of
community.
